Oh my, I did know how hot it could get when you are not able to get out of the heat. In our area today, we experienced temperatures ranging from 104 to 108. It was just before noon today when our electricity went out for almost 6 hours. We tried making the best of our simple lives...Sadie Jo slept, Don counted and rolled change and I stitched. After four hours of the simple life, I had to see were the problem was. So I drove around until I

came across the utility company vehicles installing a new power pole. The problem appeared to be caused by someone loosing control of their vehicle and slamming into the power pole, which brought it and the lines down. There was a small charred area were the lines touched the ground and started a fire. When I got back home, I noticed that I could look across the neighbors hay field and see the bucket truck working. Both Sadie Jo and I kept an eye on their progress. Shortly before 6 PM, our power returned and we rejoiced to have the fans running once again.
