Wednesday Woof

Snuggling with Daddy's quilt
Mama put her laptop up so I could not get my paws on it until she was home and that was tricky since she was catching up on emails and checking her calendar.  It has been so windy here and I’m starting to get a little cranky.  It probably does not help that Mama has left me in charge of my siblings twice this week.  Can you believe sister Sophie had that nerve to get up on the doggie lounge and sun herself in my sunshine today?  So it has been a really bad day for me.  Daddy was home late because of the snow on the mountain passes.  He had to put chains on his big truck, which makes him grumpier than me.  Mama finally got home after quilting all afternoon.  Daddy thinks she would stay home more often if she had her own longarm quilt machine and I do concur.  Hopefully this does not mean that my doggie treat budget will suffer.  I’m a bit concerned about that getting cut.  I sure do like the new apricot and lamb treats that my Grammie gave me for Christmas.  They are from Hill’s company click here to see my favorite treats.

Speaking of treats Mama dug out the folders that have the camping information and spent several hours on the computer last night.  Oh I hope we are going to the beach because I love fresh Dungeness Crab.  Did I tell you that I love the beach?  Running on the 28 miles of beach is heavenly.  Okay my brothers and I only run on about 2-3 miles of beach three or four times a day when we visit the Long Beach Peninsula.  Here I am with my brothers, Cash & Barry, on our trip for Mama’s 40th birthday a couple of years back.  I’m the cute Red Heeler on the left.

Mama says that is time for bed.  She has a long day ahead of her tomorrow.  Oh great she is leaving us again.  Maybe I should hide her car keys so she will stay home and pamper me.

Hope you had a Woofunderful Wednesday,
Sadie Jo  ^. .^

  1. Dear Sadie Jo - It's been a woofunderful Wednesday here, too. Mom and Dad both had errands to do in the big city (Raleigh, not Stem or Shoofly), and I stayed here to take care of things. I supervised the chickens' naps and took a few of my own naps, too. I made sure that the property stays safe. You know --- the general farm dog stuff. I found out the other day that Mom and Dad are getting a couple of miniature donkeys soon. Isn't that fun? I once had miniature horses as my buddies. Now I'll have some new sisters. The weather here at Windy Hollow Farm is warming up. Hooray. All our snow has melted. The ground is nice and soft and ready for planting. Mom's favorite flower is marigolds. I like them, too, and their golden colors go well with my fur. Oh, before I forget, Mom says to tell you that her brother and his family live in your state in Anacortes. Neat, huh? This is it for now, Sadie Jo. I sure like writing to you! Love and hugs: Lucky Lou the Farm Dog

  3. Hi Sadie Jo, I'm visiting from Sew and Sow Farm! My brother, Samwise and I live in the city, but I bet we would like to visit the beach! The human puppies talk about the beach a lot, so that makes me think we would like it too, even though the water makes me kind of scared. But mom and dad got me a doggie PFD and I like it, but it has been a long time since I've used it. The human puppies came since then, so we don't go on as many adventures with mom and dad. Anyway, mom needs the computer back to print something for her fabric stuff that I am not allowed to touch. ~Frodo the little rat dog
