Wednesday Woof

Welcome to a new little feature on Easy Street Ramblings called the Wednesday Woof.  As I was exploring the extraordinary blogs that were listed in the 2014 Grow Your Blog Party (GYBP), I came across a wonderful blog, Susie’s World, written by Susie and on occasion her families Airedale Terrier, Treacle, paws "The Wednesday Wag".  When I originally started Easy Street Ramblings, I had intended to have our girl, Sadie Jo, paw her view of life her on Easy Street.  I knew Sadie would be a good writer because she has a great personality and talks to her humans if they just stop and listen.  Anyways, I hope you enjoy Sadie’s new little feature on Easy Street Ramblings.  There are still a few days left to enter my GYBP giveaway, click here to read the post and find out how to win.  Now here is Sadie Jo…

While Mama is trying to gain some energy back from the hectic 7 days that she has had, I decided that I would pen my first blog entry.  Guess, I should introduce myself…I’m Sadie Jo or the Baby Girl as my parents refer to me.  I was the cutest puppy when I was little and even thought I was a cat.  Who knew?  My brother Cash got me on the right track and now I know I’m a dog which is better than a cat well that is what he says. I still think I am part cat.  The first picture is of me and my sister, Zowie, we loved playing on our kitty post.  The second picture is when I was babysitting the outside kitties while their mommy was out hunting.

Today our snow finished melting and the sun came out.  It was nice and warm too.  Mama said it was almost 60.  The other great thing about today was our Daddy being home this was strange but quite okay in my book.  He worked on mama’s rig and then went to town to get us lunch.  Well maybe he picked up a part for Mama’s rig too.  After lunch one of Daddy’s friends dropped by so we got to bark at him.  Then they went outside to look at the tractor.  Finally I needed to take a nap, oh no that was when Mama decided to get out the vacuum cleaner.  The boys immediately went out to help Daddy and I helped Mama.  After dinner tonight, I think I will roll around on the living room carpet and replace some of those hairs we vacuumed.  Well Daddy is going to feed us, so I must finish this up.

Hope you have a Woofunderful Wednesday.

  1. Dear Sadie Jo - You've written a fun post. Why, one would think that you've been doing this for quite awhile. My name is Lucky Potter, and I live on a farm with my mom and dad and a flock of chickens. Mom and Dad are actually my third owners; I came with the property when they bought my farm almost three years ago. There were two miniature horses that I took care of, too, but Mom and Dad didn't want horses. (We are actually getting miniature donkeys very soon! Wow! I am excited about that! We don't have any cats, but Mom told me that four of her previous dogs were raised with cats. I'll have to ask Mom what a three-ring circus is; she said that's what it was like Sounds fun to me. Life here is good. I take Mom for a walk around the farm almost every morning. Not today, though, because we have ice over the snow. And I'm bored. So I'm napping on the deck on my snuggly bed. Later when the ice melts I'm taking Mom! A little about me: I like treats and table food in my bowl mixed with my usual fare. I like chasing mice and squirrels. I like bringing home occasional assorted stuff. I like hanging out with my chickens. I like sitting on the porch with Dad at the end of the day. And I like writing to you, Sadie Jo! You can find my picture on Mom's blog's sidebar if you scroll down to find my Farm Dog Almanac. Yes, I am in charge of that, too. Mom says I should sign my note this way: Have a blessedly abundant day! (Gosh. I spelled it right.) Love, Lucky P.

  2. Love your new woof post. As much as I love to see quilts being made, I also love to hear what the dogs and cats are up to. Great pictures too, they always make me smile.
