A Slow and Steady Pace Begins
I truly am starting my stitching year at a turtles pace. I knew I could not do any stitching before heading into the optometrist to have my eyes checked. Yep, I needed a bit of a change in my regular prescription. The biggest change that was made will allow me to stich without getting vertigo and also to be able to look up and still see things like the TV. Then the waiting game took place as I waited for my new glasses to arrive. They arrived near the end of January. It is amazing to be able to stitch and watch TV. Now I'm patiently waiting for baseball season to start.
With my late start I did not get as much stitching done since my last Turtle
Trot Stitch-A-Long (SAL) posting. I only picked up one project, Lizzie Kate Summer Alphabet Sampler. With
the late start and all the other things that I have been doing since January 10th, I am very pleased with my progress.
This project is one of 14 projects that I have selected
for my 2014 Turtle Trot SAL pieces. To save a little time and space during this years Turtle Trot SAL, I am
only posting pictures of the projects that I have stitched on since the last posting. If
you would like to see the other projects, I have a page (2014 Turtle Trot)
dedicated to them, the link is also over on the sidebar just to the right. On the dedicated page I have pictures of where I started the project at the beginning of this SAL and then an updated picture to show my progress.

- Oh my some of these projects have not seen the light of day in years. So hopefully my fellow stitchers will keep me inspired and stitching on my long list of projects because 13 just barely scratches the surface of one drawer.
Hopefully before the next posting date I will have enough time and
energy to stitch on a few more projects.
For more information about the
2014 Turtle Trot SAL, here is the link to what you can expect to see from myself and
others that are participating in this SAL. I know that my fellow participants would love for you to stop by their blogs and see what they have been working on. I am surrounded by many talented stitchers. Here is the February link to our organizers, BAP Attack's, page that we are linking up to for our February 10th
postings.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by and read my post.
Happy Stitching!!!
Good progress on your alphabet sampler, Toni!!:)
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if you are aware, turtle trot 2014 is for just 10 projects this year instead of14. So you can still shortlist 10 of your favourites from these 14.
This is absolutely gorgeous! I haven't cross stitched in many years but you're inspiring me to start again. I love what you've created!:) Lori
