Pickles, Plum Jam & Tomatoes

Finally, I found a fruit stand that knows when a pickling cucumber should be picked. It was definitely worth the hour drive to get these cucumbers. Once home that evening, I started my Sweet Pickle Chunks. Two days later, I had 20 ½ pints to add to my previous 11 pints. So I think we are set for sweet pickle chunks for the next year. I also made a batch of Bread & Butter pickles, which produced 7 ½ pints. This year I paid close attention to them so they did not come to a boil as directed by my grandparents. All of my pickle recipes come from my great grandma and my grandparents, uncle and I still carry on her summer tradition of making dill, bread & butter and sweet pickle chunks.

Now here are my assistants:
Calleigh & Shea
Well, I guess these assistants, Cash & Sadie Jo, are relying on the first two assistants.

The finished products...
