Turtle Trot Update #2

Just a little background to get us all on the same page.  A fellow blogger and stitcher started this wonderful stitch-a-long (SAL) called 2013 Turtle Trot.  If we planned to join and follow this SAL, we needed to pick 13 projects and post our stitching progress on the 13th of each month.  Best of all each stitcher can stitch on their selected projects at their pace.  If you are interested in finding out more click here, 2013 Turtle Trot.

Before the 13th turns into the 14th, I need to post my progress on the 2013 Turtle Trot SAL (stitch-a-long).  I would love to say that I worked on all them this first month but I cannot.  At first I figured I would try to stitch on at least two of my projects from my list along with the three store models that I am stitching on for a local needlework shop.  I am not able to work on just cross stitch so there was quite a bit of quilting in there too.

I had a plan but of course I did not stick to the plan but it all turned out good as you will see.  Before starting any of my projects on my Turtle Trot (TT) project list, I had to finish one of the store models, and next thing I knew I started on the second model while trying to figure out which TT project would be the first to be stitched on.  Would you believe it took me two weeks to decide which one to start one?  I finally picked up the Tiniest Stockings, I only planned to stitch one stocking and then move to another project on my TT list.  I threw that out the window and started on the second, then the third.  By the time I finished the third one, I figured I should just go ahead and stitch the last two and be done with this project.  Two nights ago I did, and then picked up another project from my TT list.  I haven’t made much progress on it since it has only been one night of stitching.  It is my Gameboard Sampler which is a larger project, I decided it was time to get out my floor stand so I could use both my hands to stitch hoping to make faster progress this way.

So after all that here is the progress of two of my thirteen projects.  I have also thrown in the progress of the two store models that I have worked on this past month.  To see all of my Turtle Trot projects and where I am at in them check out the Turtle Trot tab near the top of my blog.  Enjoy & Happy Stitching!!!
