Singer Featherweight 221

Thanks to a friend of my moms, I now have a Singer Featherweight 221. It was made in 1941 at the Elizabethport factory in Elizabeth, New Jersey. When I received it from my mom early in the month, it needed to have the electric cord replaced and the bobbin assembly was jammed up. After a couple of days of repair, it now humms along as I sew. Okay it was only a couple of repairs that I did but it works great. I cannot wait to sew my first quilt uisng this machine. Since I have two new nephews and one new grand niece, my “new” sewing machine will get lots of use.
