Three Days Of Cooler Temperatures
Wow, it is so wonderful to finally pull the down comforter over myself during my afternoon nap today. Yes, we have cooled down. Ten degrees really makes a difference and I will savor the cooler temperatures for the next two days before we head backup to the century mark or close to it for a week. I guess summer is not over yet.

DH has a three day weekend so hopefully we will accomplish some things around the place. So much to do and where to start? It would be great to pull a bunch of weeds especially the nasty tack weeds (goat heads or Tribulus terrestris) that are growing in the driveway. My poor garden has quite a few also, but I am not sure DH will help pull those. Here is what the bottom of my shoe looked like after walking across the driveway a few years ago when we did not get the tack weeds pulled before the dropped their seed pods.

I don't know about your part of WA but they say our heat is coming back!! UG!
ReplyDeleteHow nice! Here in NC we're having rain --- badly needed. Temperatures in the seventies today. That's cool for August.
ReplyDeleteGoat heads are the worst, and they burn when you get them stuck in your skin too. I didn't know you had that kind of heat that far north. Bummer. We're only 99-100 this week.
