Almost a year later and we finally have our pellet stove..happy dance!!! I was thrilled to learn that the installers were able to set the hopper (pellet storage area) to its maximum capacity due to our fireplace opening size being large. You might be wondering why I’m so excited by this feature but our house is a little outdated...our only heat source is the fireplace. So this means I will not have to get up during the night to put wood on the fire and come home during the day if the temperatures are near freezing.
Twenty-four hours after the installation, the installers told me to go ahead and cure the paint with an hour burn. I decided that it would be a good idea since it was a nice day and all of the windows could be open to let the curing fumes out. It only took seconds for Squeekers and
Sophie to realize what I was doing and they were right beside me. They are known as our “heat hogs”. They will be thrilled to know that we will have continuous heat and they will not have to worry if the parents are going to remember to put another log or two on the fire. Life is pretty rough around here for them...don’t you think?
